How long is maniac magee

This is a great read for parents and kids alike. This is a book that you won't want to put down. My classes were begging for more to read each day! We all loved it! Helped me decide. Had useful details. Parent of a 10, 12, and year-old Written by Hendo H. U December 27, Maybe a 3 star. Adult Written by joslynmartinez March 1, This book is about a boy named Jeffrey but they called him maniac magee cause he didn't have a home so he would sleep in different places.

Jeffery didn't have a home because his parents died. Then one day a girl named Amanda [who was african american] ran into maniac magee on her way to school. They talked and the Amanda gave him one of her books so he can read it.

Soon after that they became friends and amanda allowed him to live at her house. Maniac was a good house guest he cleaned the house and took Amanda's little brothers showers even though they hated showers.

I believe Maniac Magee had some obstacles in his life. Some of Maniacs obstacles was to overcome fear and he shouldn't care about his color. I think Maniac Magee got over these obstacles by showing people that it shouldn't matter what color they are they still are all people and they can all get along.

I think the author was trying to get me to understand that it shouldn't matter what color u are because we are all the same people. Also we have many obstacles and fears in life and that we shouldn't be scared or run away from our problems. I think Maniac had many adventures because he has been sleeping place to place cause he didn't have a home to stay in. I can relate to Maniac Magee because he had to step out of his comfort zone to show people what skills he has. I felt what Maniac Magee felt,he felt brave.

A time i felt brave was when i became friends with a girl that was new to our school i also helped her find her classes. I related to Maniac Magee because he was brave when he asked amanda for one of her books even though he barely met her that day.

In my opinion this was a good book to read i'm glad i took 30 minutes out of my day to read this book. This was my favorite part because it shows that Amanda is there for Maniac when he needs her. It also proves that she is a really good friend. My favorite character was Amanda. She was my favorite because she was being a really good friend to Maniac because she gave him a house to live in and not only was she a fiend she was also family.

If i could change something in th book i would change the bullying and make them all friends. I would recommend this book to others. I Recommend this book to others because this book was a really good book and i think anyone will like i and be interested. Any type of person should read this book because a lot of people might like it unless u dont like to read then you should read this book.

Aim to read through the end of chapter 8 although you do not need to reach that point, and you may skip certain chapters to reach chapters seven and eight , and tell the children that the book will be placed into their library if they would like to check it out and read the rest.

Remember that the children are not to do the read-aloud, however. What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? What do you think Maniac does based on the cover? How does this part set up the story to be about an amazing kid? What do you think this kid has done? Chapter One? What would you do if you saw a boy running around in the street like that?

Chapter Three? If you had a suitcase to carry all of your most important belongings, what would you carry? What books would be in there - any? Chapter Four? Have you ever made a verb or a noun out of a proper noun, like having the?
